Christmas in July | Clear and Simple Stamps Group Project

7.16.2012

How about a break from the summer heat? How about some Christmas in July? Today's Group Project with Clear and Simple Stamps is to showcase winter-time holiday cards using any of the newest products.

Naturally, I chose Christmas as my winter holiday featuring the new Damask stamp set to create a card and matching tag.

The Damask set includes eight different background sets with so many possibilities. The pattern is so elegant and just made me think of Christmas wrapping paper tied with a large bow.

I started by scoring the cardstock in a simple square pattern. Then I stamped the large damask pattern in red and green ink in each square.

I added layers of green trim, tied with a generous amount of Shamrock ribbon, and a tiny tag from the Tag 1 die and coordinating Trendy Tags stamp set.

Last is a matching tag using the small damask pattern in a pale green and more stamping from Trendy Tags.

To get started on your holiday inspiration, be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created. You can never be too early to start planning for the holidays!
