Birthday Boy | Clear and Simple Stamps Review Day 1

All I can say is WOW! Last month, Clear and Simple Stamps outdid themselves by releasing an amazing collection of stamps, die cuts and party favors. With over 40 new products in the shop, there were so many fun and playful collections for me to choose from when creating my assignments.

Today, we are reviewing products released during the past month - with a focus on the background collections.

I created this fun and bright little card perfect for the birthday boy! I used background stamps from the Playroom set, including the stars, numbers, and the fun banner! This set is so full of whimsy and imagination, I just adore it!

For the sentiment, I used two new stamps sets - Number Blocks and Alpha Bold. I just love those numbers! Especially with the dashed outline. It really gives it a third dimensional kind of look. Totally fun!

But the fun doesn't stop here! Hop on over to check out what the Design Team has created for the Backgrounds Collection Release in Review from Clear and Simple Stamps!

Sweet Birthday Wishes | Waltzingmouse Stamps

Hello friends! Are you ready to play along in a new card challenge? This time, the Waltzingmouse Mischief Makers are playing along with a different kind of sketch today.

The catch?

To create a single layer card!

Single layer? At first, I could not think of anything to create since I love to add layers. Lots of layers! I am really happy with how this single layer card turned out, but was mostly impressed with how quickly it all came together!

I used the following stamps from Waltzingmouse to create this birthday card: Compact Sentiments, Flourishes - Scallops and Dots, Dainty Doilies and the small leaves from Teeny Trees.

I hope you'll join us this week and create a fun single layer card at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge blog. You could be selected to win a Waltzingmouse stamp set of your choice!

Waltzingmouse Sketch and Sale on Die Cuts

So there is a new sketch just posted today over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch blog. And ooooh it's a good one! Miss Renee Lynch has definitely created some great sketches for us this month. So let's to my card based on Renee's sketch, shall we?

Dry embossing is one of my favorite techniques that gives great textures on cards. It's quick and easy, but the results are so fun. I embossed some pretty paper with polka dots using the gorgeous Paper Heart collection from Crate Paper. This is another one of my most favorite paper collections! Ever!

I was also so happy that my new stamps arrived from the newest release over at Waltzingmouse! The new Compact Sentiments stamp was perfect for creating a little Thank You card to save for a rainy day.

I paired the sentiment with Vintage Labels 4. If I could settle on just one stamp from Waltzingmouse, this just might be it. Ok, I really couldn't choose just one! But it's definitely on my Top 5 list. Plus, it fits perfectly into the Labels Four die cut from Spellbinders, which are all on sale up to 25% off
right here. I am adding some more into my shopping cart as I speak!

Oh! And Two Peas is also giving away a FREE GIFT with purchase through the end of the month. So it's a great time to stock up on Spellbinder dies and pair them up with your Waltzingmouse stamps!

I hope you'll join the rest of the Waltzingmouse Mischief Makers this week and play along with the newest sketch. You could win a free stamp set from the shop just for playing along!

Welcome Little One! CAS-ual Fridays Challenge

Hello everyone! Did you know that Clear and Simple Stamps is sponsoring the challenge this week at the CAS-ual Fridays blog? They are offering a prize to one lucky winner - a $25 Gift Certificate to spend in the CSS shop!

The theme this week is to create a project using:
  1. A Pattern
  2. An Image
  3. A Sentiment
Pretty easy, huh?

For my pattern and image, I used the stars and moon from the new set, Sweet Dreams. And a sentiment from the new set, Baby Sentiments, both available at Clear and Simple Stamps

And can you believe it? I managed to keep my card CAS-style by not adding any ribbons or layers. I know! Clean and simple is a style I am not used to, but I sure had fun trying something new!

So are you ready to play along and enter for your chance to win a little shopping spree from Clear and Simple Stamps? Hop on over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog and enter your creation. Remember to keep it CAS!

Mwah! Kiss Me! Waltzingmouse Sketch #89

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Are you wearing your green today or did you just get pinched? There is a new sketch today over at the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge blog. And this one is perfect for getting in on the St. Patty's Day fun!

To create my little clover, I used the hearts from Waltzingmouse's Sweethearts set. It's amazing how much I've been using this stamp set for so many occasions - not just Valentine's Day. To create the stem, I used part of the pine cone branch from Festive Foliage.

For a little fun and my take on the "Kiss me, I'm Irish" quote - a perfect little sentiment! So while you're out enjoying the festivities of the holiday, I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch this week

And while you're at it, there's a Waltzingmouse Blog Hop Party going on today! Have a peek and join the fun!
